Meals with a system and heart
How the Pacojet is restructuring everyday life in kindergarten
Fresh, wholesome, simple: the solution for daycare kitchens
Children's well-being and health begin in the kitchen. And whether for 30, 50, or 100 children, the challenge in kindergartens and nurseries remains the same: preparing balanced meals fresh and stress-free every day, despite limited budgets. Wouter Veldman has been cooking for the children at the Waldorf kindergarten and nursery in Neustadt in Holstein for a year, relying on the Pacojet, which fits into any daycare kitchen without taking up too much space. When a cook was urgently needed, he saw this not only as an opportunity to help, but also as a food designer to explore the exciting world of kindergarten cooking. His goal: healthy, child-friendly dishes without additives, with less effort and more room for creativity.
Flexible preparation
Wouter decides for himself when to prepare in advance and fill the pacotizing® beakers. Shortly before mealtime, it only takes a few minutes to finish the menu. This is a real advantage for a daycare center with changing routines. „With the Pacojet, I can organize my kitchen in a completely different way. I can prepare food flexibly without compromising on taste or quality. And the frozen components taste fresh and intense after pacotizing® - this opens up new possibilities.”
Impressive flavor and variety
The quality of the dishes has improved noticeably with the use of the Pacojet: strong flavors, bright colors, and fine textures. „I make things that I used to avoid - such as vegetable ice cream, special dips, or pesto made from carrot tops,” says Wouter. The Pacojet brings variety to the menu and makes healthy eating exciting for children.
Promoting healthy eating in a playful way
Children enjoy 100% fresh ingredients without additives, colorings, or artificial flavors. They can even get involved by creating their own ice cream flavors or dips, developing an awareness of nutrition in a playful way. For the kitchen, the Pacojet means less time pressure, easy operation even for untrained staff, and better use of food - no food waste thanks to portion-precise processing.
